Events, art and culture for visitors staying a few days in the city

If you are in Milan from November 10 to 16 2025, the city offers a rich program of cultural events, concerts and street markets — perfect for combining sightseeing, shopping and discovery.


Main events of the week

  • BookCity Milano 2025 – November 10–16: the fourteenth edition of the city-wide book and reading festival, with more than 1,300 events in over 400 venues.
  • Markets & vintage fairs – Several events across historic districts (see below).
  • Concerts and live shows
    • Elisa – November 10, Unipol Forum (Assago).
    • Jamiroquai – November 13, Unipol Forum.
    • Raf – Self Control 40th Anniversary – November 16, Teatro Lirico Giorgio Gaber.
    • Roberto Bolle & Friends – November 14, Teatro degli Arcimboldi.
  • Temporary exhibitions – Major galleries feature new shows on design, photography and contemporary art.

Markets: where they are and what you’ll find

  • Brera Market – Sunday, November 16 (9 am – 5 pm), in the streets of Brera (Via Fiori Chiari, Via Madonnina, Via Formentini, Piazza del Carmine). Porcelain, glass, paintings, antiques, vintage jewelry and accessories.
  • Flug Market – Sunday, November 16, Mosso Milano. Vintage, design, collectibles.
  • Remira Market – Mid-November (Saturday or Sunday, various locations). Circular fashion, books, independent illustrators.

Tip: markets are ideal on Sunday mornings; bring cash or mobile payment methods since not all vendors accept cards.


Museums and must-see masterpieces

  • The Last Supper – Santa Maria delle Grazie: Leonardo da Vinci’s masterpiece (1495-1498), UNESCO World Heritage Site. Advance booking required.
  • Leonardo da Vinci Museum of Science and Technology – Models of Leonardo’s machines, original drawings, and large collections on transport and energy.
  • Pinacoteca di Brera – Works by Caravaggio, Raphael, Mantegna, Hayez and Piero della Francesca.
  • Museo del Novecento – 20th-century Italian art including Boccioni’s Unique Forms of Continuity in Space, Modigliani, Klee and De Chirico.
  • Gallerie d’Italia – Piazza della Scala: From Canova to Boccioni, permanent and temporary exhibitions.
  • Duomo di Milano and Duomo Museum – Gothic sculptures, stained glass and sacred art beneath the famous Madonnina.
  • Castello Sforzesco – Historic fortress hosting Michelangelo’s unfinished Pietà Rondanini.

Tips for visitors

  • Book early for The Last Supper: access is limited.
  • Check concert schedules and buy tickets online in advance.
  • Visit markets in the morning and enjoy an aperitivo in Brera or the Navigli district later.
